Frequently Asked Questions
DPC clinics are able to see fewer patients due to not having to meet insurance quota needs. The cost of billing insurance pushes the cost of healthcare up. With no insurance billing, and repeated filling out of insurance-based forms, the provider can concentrate on you, the patient, not paperwork. You will generally be able to be seen the day you call or the following day. You will have direct access to your provider via text, email and phone for questions or concerns.
As a Direct Primary Care provider clinic, many of your health care needs can be addressed. Please see the list of services offered. As well, you can generally be seen the same or next day. If you do need to be seen by a specialist, you will be referred. Lab tests can be done through the clinic at a significantly reduced out of pocket price or can be done and billed to your insurance if you prefer. Your out-of-pocket cost is what we would look at, what costs you less. X-rays and US may be done at lower cost to you, through other vendors in the Flathead Valley.
You may always stop being seen at Hometown Clinic. This is covered in the contract signed by all new clients.
We are happy to discuss this at any time. All patients should feel comfortable with their healthcare provider. You will have a meet and greet with the provider before signing any paperwork or becoming a client/patient. Please realize you have to be a signed-up patient to receive actual healthcare, prescriptions, exams, etc.
You will be given direct access to your provider via phone, text and email. Of course, we ask if the issue can be discussed during normal regular business hours, then please wait until then. We do understand sometimes things happen and if you are out of insulin, CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY! If you are not sure if your covered child needs to be seen in the Emergency Room, CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY!
Each insurance is different, you will need to discuss this with your insurance company. A statement is available for you to submit to insurance if you prefer. No insurance will be billed through the clinic. Labs that are done by outside vendors can be billed to your insurance.
Yes, you can use your HSA to pay your monthly fee and services through Hometown Clinic If you have any other questions not listed above, please feel free to contact us via email at [email protected]
